This included nude mods not for titillation, but for realism (I in fact had to go out of my way to get nude female bodies that looked like they fit in the game, or nude male bodies at all).
This opened the door for me to download other mods to also help my immersion.
I generally never mod games for my first playthrough however, when Fallout 4 first came out, I knew I had to get the mod for a full dialogue interface. These old eyes have seen alot, which cannot be unseen. Visual Novels have scared my thought of nudity forums in games forums so the issue is probably with me. This isn't really because of my experience in games with nudity (played plenty of stealth games where you take people's clothing to disguise yourself) but more based on forums where members ask for nudity for the porn factor - specifically Steam forums where members get into specifics of what they want to see and complaining about censorship.įor me, personally I don't mind nudity, it's a thing in movies, games and even real life that we cannot avoid (married couples will be nude together in beginning of their marriage and years down the road). If I want computer nudity I watch Porn on my phone. This is probably going to seem like painting the gaming community in the bad light but when I think nudity in games, I think sexual nudity. I must be one of the only ones that thinks the Deafire featuring nudity will not in any way enhance or benefit the game?Agreed. So, to each their own, but as with any other aspect of this game, all I hope is that they do it well. Not things to experience, but simply things to do, and it is that sort of variance which makes our species so successful. Video games, like literature and cinema, can be extremely artistic and extremely meaningful, and I am greatly appreciative when they are, but for many they are nothing more than idle entertainment.
I think life reaches its highest forms in artistic expression, and to see things which could be an elevation of the human condition cynically exploited is always a disappointment. When it is used for effect, rather than to affect. I don't mind the presence of nudity, but I dislike when it is used cheaply. It adds meaning and mystery to what would otherwise be dross, dull, and utterly unremarkable. It is only amongst those whom place a premium upon modesty that nudity alone begins to carry purely sexual connotation, and to what degree is intensely personal. Nudity, after all, is only arousing in a clothed society. With taste and restraint nudity in and of itself can convey a great amount of information, even when the response sought is only a all is said and done, nudity is always revelation. Nudity can be many things, signifying solace and comfort, but also vulnerability and uncertainty. Not because of what it shows, but because of what it suggests. Nudity can be used brilliantly to comedic effect as well. I think it was Spielberg who once said that the most impressive landscape was the human face.
Yet the most interesting aspect of the human body, artistically, are usually not which are revealed necessarily in the nude. The human body is comprised of terrific curvature and adaptive lines and when someone captures it perfectly, it can be breathtaking - largely dependent upon the medium and perspective but the point remains.
